Wie Olivenöl hergestellt wird / How Our Olive Oil Is Made

Where it all begins

The harvest

The quality of our extra virgin olive oil begins with the harvest: The olives are picked by hand with the utmost care and then transported directly to our mill in small, air-permeable harvest boxes within a few hours.

The production

This is where quality is created

First, olive leaves and small branches are carefully removed. Then the olives are thoroughly washed and dried with a blower. The olives are crushed into a fine paste in the knife mill. This paste is only kneaded briefly in the closed, vertical kneading units before it goes into the decanter. The olive oil is extracted without the addition of water, which leads to a particularly fresh and aromatic result.

bottling

The olive oil goes into the bottle

The freshly extracted olive oil is filtered immediately to preserve the highest quality for a long time. We then fill the bright, fragrant olive oil into light-protected bottles under vacuum. We store the olive oil in dark, cool rooms until it is sold to preserve the first-class quality right down to the last bottle.
